Team Profile: Paul Good
Paul has been involved in the construction industry for 25 years with an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the construction process gained through his experience of varied roles in both commercial and operational positions across a wide range of sectors within the industry. Having begun his career in estimating Paul broadened his knowledge of operational contract delivery and progressed to the position of Business Unit Head for the small works department of one of the UK’s largest and respected Fitout, Housing and Maintenance Contractors based in Edinburgh. During his 6 years in the position Paul was responsible for all stages of the process from tender enquiry, pricing, operational delivery through to commercial management and reporting.
A fresh challenge and change of sector saw Paul undertake the role of Operations Manager for a widely recognised national M&E & FM services provider overseeing the project delivery for the Scottish Courts Framework (valued over £25M per annum) and for University of Edinburgh, Small
Projects Framework (project values up to £1M) for 5 years. He then joined one of the largest privately owned Main Contractors in the UK where he was responsible for delivery of local market work delivering to City of Edinburgh Council, University of Edinburgh and Stirling Council.
Paul is responsible for the Bid Management activity of EC Specialist Contractors covering business lead development, estimating and quality bid submission. Paul’s collaborative approach in working with the client and our front-end team at bid level will ensure ECSC propose the most viable, cost-
effective and compliant bid. Paul’s varied and balanced working experience across the range of contracting disciplines will assist ECSC in warranting our promise to meet the client’s expectations in all respects, with a keen focus on developing strong working partnership relationships with clients and our own delivery team.
