PROJECT DESCRIPTION

EC Specialist Contractors delivered the alteration and refurbishment of the old 100-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Aberdeen to create a 107-room student accommodation for Optimal Student.

To create 107 self-contained student suites, we altered 100 existing hotel bedrooms and converted the ground floor hotel office and dining spaces into seven additional units. The new student rooms included a bed space, study area, kitchenette, and en-suite WC/shower room. We also created new cycle storage areas, a bin store and a communal recreational area on the ground floor. M&E services included new ventilation throughout the building to service the individuial kitchens within each apartment and replacement of the existing defective en-suite bathroom extract ventilation throughout the entire building.
