PROJECT DESCRIPTION
ECSC were appointed as principal contractor to create a fully finished showroom student flat to demonstrate the apartment layout for the new student accommodation block being developed at Fountainbridge, Edinburgh.
1. The works were carried out within a live hotel. Hotel operations and guest satisfaction was a paramount requirement. We provided meticulous pre-programming and communication of the works to key stakeholders including the hotel management and maintenance team to mitigate any interface, inconvenience or potential risk to staff, guests and members of the public.
2. Works were carefully assessed to identify the potential for noise disruption and mitigation put in place.
3. M&E services was critical to the operation of the hotel. We carefully coordinated all M&E works with the hotel maintenance team and strictly adhered to permit systems and hotel protocols.
4. Access and egress routes were established to ensure there was no disruption to hotel users or members of the public. A prior arrangement process was implemented for all deliveries and waste removal.
5. We held daily briefings meetings with the hotel management team to communicate a full understanding of the daily activities and co-ordinate these with the hotel’s operation requirements.
6. Co-operation, co-ordination with hotel management and maintenance teams was diligently adopted and flexibility of working hours was embraced to mitigate any disruption or inconvenience to the hotel guests.
